Asbestos & Lead Based Paint Assessment & Abatement, for Amtrak, Portland, Oregon (2004-2006).

The purpose of this project was to visit and inspect the areas and to determine if hazardous building materials were present through appropriate laboratory testing. Creekside assessed site conditions through inspection, sampling of suspect building materials, evaluation of laboratory test results from the samples, and comparison of the sample results to appropriate regulatory standards and benchmarks. Once sampling was completed, Creekside supervised the abatement work including removing cracked lead paint from the interior ceilings at Union Station in Portland, Oregon. The purpose of this project is to remove the lead hazard and re-paint the surfaces as required by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and US Environmental Protection Agency. An aggressive schedule was planned and implemented for this project.
